Robert May’s School

A new ICT support service for Robert May’s School

Tenet’s On Demand Team ran a successful ICT support service tender which achieved a saving of 24% for Robert May’s School.

Robert May’s School in Odiham, Hampshire required a new ICT support service contract to cover their provision of onsite IT support. Previously the service had been provided by an in-house team and an external IT Consultancy and it was the first time the school had outsourced this type of full service requirement.

When we decided to outsource the Academy Trust’s IT support services, we appointed Tenet to manage the tender process. Tenet helped us throughout the process and we are very pleased with the professional and efficient service we received. We know the process was compliant with the regulations, will stand up to audit scrutiny and we are able to evidence VfM.”

Our Strategy

Tenet’s approach was to assign our locally based Senior Procurement Consultant, Karis Lucano to the project. Karis is part of Tenet’s On Demand Team and has extensive ICT procurement expertise. Karis worked closely with the school to understand their requirements and advised the most effective route to market which was via a Restricted OJEU tender.

Our Expertise

Tenet created a tailored specification and documents, evaluated the initial supplier selection questionnaire responses, conducted site visits, presentations and evaluated the suppliers’ written and pricing responses. Karis ensured compliance was achieved throughout the process and provided specialist advice and guidance to the school. Tenet provided additional support by attending the first contract mobilisation meeting between the school and the successful contractor.

I really enjoyed working on this tender with Robert May’s School to appoint a new ICT Support Services provider. It was great to help and support them through the tender and the procurement process!”

Karis Lucano, Senior Procurement Consultant
